The Origin Legends return to a time when Hambrig was no more than a fragile settlement, and the world itself seemed closer to the divine. Beginning with Blood-Moon over Wyrmhyrst, the series tells of Karima—fallen from the Firmament to end the wars of men—and of the lives irrevocably changed by her coming . Here lie the roots of everything that follows: the shaping of the land, the forging of its people, and the distant echoes of a destiny that will one day reach Castle Rory itself.

Told in a broader, more epic voice, the Origin Legends stand apart from the chronicles—yet they are bound to them, as the deep past is bound to the present. Four books will trace this unfolding myth, revealing how the world of Hambrig was first born… and at what cost.
